No residents chose to speak on Tuesday when the McKinney City Council held the first of two public hearings on a proposed budget totaling $90.7 million in general fund expenditures. A second public hearing will be held Sept. 21 after which the budget will be passed with a vote in favor from council.

Senior Follies at Eisemann

Demographic report shows surge in high school population

A demographic report presented before the McKinney ISD Board of Trustees showed the bulk of enrollment growth over the next four years coming at the high school level. Attendance zone projections show 1,535 new high school students by 2014, more of an increase then all elementary and middle school zones will see during that time period.
